Using “sulfated zirconia biodiesel reactors,” Krohn’s team came up with Mcgyan® Biodiesel Process which shortened the production process from hours to a few seconds, uses a “wide range of feedstock oil and animal fat” to produce fuel (including used restaurant oil), does not use water or harmful chemicals, and converts 100% of its feedstock oil to biodiesel. Every year, over 100 million cell phones are discarded or replaced in the United States. Less than twenty percent of cell phone users actually recycle phones or send these back to the manufacturers for proper disposal. If the Copenhagen climate summit had produced anything resembling a definitive conclusion, I would be confident about biodiversity loss assuming centre stage during 2010 - and not before time, many would argue. The lack of appetite within some important governments for tackling climate change on a global basis also calls into question whether they will continue to back a global approach to curbing biodiversity loss.
